The shots above were taken around
2pm from Vermont South in Melbourne looking E & SE.
The panorama was taken at 3.44pm
looking from SW through to N from south of Euroa (features of the cell in the centre are
shown in more detail below)
The 5 images below show that
conditions were still favourable even after sunset (note in the first image the horizontal
vapour vortex!!)

A
weak funnel over Reedy Lake, photo taken from just above Lake Connewarre looking west. The
Funnel developed as a disorganised lowering showing rotation, before forming a brief
organised although weak tube. The funnel dissipated about 30 seconds after this photo.
There was a line of congesting cumulus with embedded cumulonimbus and a few showers in the
area. A small low had passed over Geelong area during the morning. The showers were moving
from the south/southwest, temp was about 12C, the low levels were very moist. (Image:
