...this was taken on Thursday the 29th between 5:20 and 6:00 - it was standing out the front of Dick Smith Powerhouse on Princes Hwy/Dandenong Road looking towards Hawthorn/Camberwell.  I believe that this could have been one of the larger cells that went through the area causing flash floods.  The cell was producing regular thunder and lightning.

A strong rain shaft decends from the developing Deer Park/St Albans storm just after 1300 hrs Thursday 29/1/04. This storm produced falls in access of 50mm in less than one hour including large hail - the impact of the storm was felt over a small area due to virtually no movement of the parent storm for its entire lifespan.
